Overview
Maharaja Lawak Mega 2016 is back featuring 15 groups of comedians, known as "Agents" who will lead the Malaysian comedy stage to claim the title of the new Maharaja Lawak Mega champion. Dato' AC Mizal who is the emcee of Maharaja Lawak Mega still bears the responsibility as host for this season. Astro's much-loved serial reality show started airing on Astro Warna (Channel 132) and Astro Mustika HD (Channel 134) from 29 January 2016 - 29 April 2016, every Friday at 10pm.

1. Week 1
Free theme. No elimination.
2. Week 2
Free theme. Awok was eliminated.
3. Week 3
Theme was "Bollywood". Kavin and Chilok were eliminated.
4. Week 4
Theme was "Moral Comedy". Abam Bocey was selected Man of the Match. Xola was knocked out.
5. Week 5
Theme was "Proverbs". Abam Bocey was selected Man of the Match. Shake knocked out.
6. Week 6
Theme was "Events". Rahim Joras was selected Man of the Match. BOSS knocked out.
7. Week 7
Theme was "Musical Comedy". Isa Bora was selected Man of the Match. Cham was eliminated.
8. Week 8
Free theme. Mamat Bora was selected Man of the Match. No elimination.
9. Week 9
Theme was "Memories". Mamak Puteh was selected Man of the Match. Enjen was eliminated.
10. Week 10
Theme was "Very Persuasive Words". Shuk Joras selected Man of the Match. Bora was eliminated.
11. Week 11
Themes were "Accent" and "Parody". Joey Joras was selected Man of the Match. Saywho was eliminated.
12. Week 12
Themes were "Radio", and "With Guest Artists" who were Puteri Balqis (Bocey), Mak Jah (Joras), Nabila Huda (LOL), Hamid Gurkha (Puteh), and Anas Ridzuan (Rayza). Fad Bocey was selected Man of the Match. No elimination.
13. Week 13
Themes were "Latest Trend" and "Poetry". Fad Bocey was selected Man of the Match. No elimination.
14. Final Week
Held at the Pasir Gudang Corporation Indoor Stadium. Themes were free and "Musical Comedy". Achey Bocey was selected Man of the Match. Bocey was crowned champion, Joras in second place, and Puteh in third place.
