Season 2
Overview
In season two, liberal campaigning Ellen drags her traditional, self-made husband Scott out of his comfort zone and into a hipster Connecticut coffee shop, where they have 10 minutes before their marriage counseling session to drink a coffee, gather their thoughts and argue about everything from Quakerism to pronouns. Amongst the bickering they also discuss betrayals from their past, how they're changing as people, and what the future of their relationship might look like in a changing world.

Scott and Ellen meet for coffee to prepare for their first marital counseling session; Ellen makes a shocking announcement.

Scott and Ellen discuss past betrayals, and Ellen explains just how far apart they've grown.

Ellen tells Scott more about her newfound religion, and Scott is left feeling further from her than ever.

Ellen and Scott try to assess the pain it would cause them to break up, versus the pain of staying together.

After Scott derails their counselors' relationship, Ellen is left questioning whether she wants to continue with their own.
6. Intimacy Kit
After Ellen grills Scott on his understanding of intimacy, both partners are left wondering if they can give each other what they need.
7. The Road Most Travelled
Scott has made huge strides since starting personal therapy, but Ellen admits that she's keeping her options open.
8. Facetime TV
Ellen sees that Scott and Jay's friendship is blossoming and that he's less afraid of intimacy.
9. Kopi Iuwak
Scott and Ellen have shared a magical night together, but their newfound intimacy hits a road bump when Ellen opens up to Scott about some dark thoughts.
10. The Last Box
Ellen and Scott arrive for their final session and share their hopes for the future and their plans for their relationship.
