Meet the Lin family, they look like your average family next door on the surface, but each family member is grappling with their own demons.

After a misunderstanding with Papa Lin, Mama Lin leaves home and stays at her eldest son, Yi De's place. This causes all sorts of trouble for Yi De with his live-in girlfriend. Meanwhile, the youngest son, Li Qian, forms an unlikely friendship with delinquent Lu Yi.

Yi Shan wakes up in a motel next to her best friend's boyfriend Zhuang Hao Yang.

Mama Lin and Papa Lin are quarreling again when both are conned out of their savings. Jiao Jiao's suspcious nature costs Yi De a major client. Meanwhile, Yi Shan can't seem to cut ties with Zhuang Hao Yang.

Love is in the air. Mama Lin goes on vacation with a high school friend. Papa Lin is spending lots of time with a new upstairs neighbor. Lin Yi Shan changes her opinion towards Zhuang Hao Yang.
