Overview
Though Rand thought he destroyed the Dark One, evil is not gone from the world. Threats new and very old seek out the young friends from the Two Rivers, now scattered over the world. The woman who found and guided them is now powerless to help, and so they must find other sources of strength. In each other, or themselves. In the Light... or the Dark.

Moiraine, Lan, Nynaeve, Egwene, Perrin, and Mat find themselves more alone than ever.
2. Strangers and Friends
The Two Rivers youths forge new relationships, while Lan tries to mend an old one.

Nynaeve faces her greatest fears. Rand seeks guidance on his powers from an unexpected source.

Moiraine searches for Rand while Nynaeve mourns her losses.
5. Damane
Moiraine and Rand flee for their lives. Egwene and Nynaeve encounter a new foe.
6. Eyes Without Pity
Rand makes a risky alliance and Egwene gathers her strength to confront the horror of her circumstances.
7. Daes Dae'Mar
A familiar face foils Moiraine and Rand's plans.
8. What Was Meant to Be
Fate leads Rand and the others to an inevitable showdown with their most formidable enemies yet.
