Overview
Maharaja Lawak Mega 2012 is a reality program produced by Astro that combines almost all the famous comedians from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia who have forged a name in this field of art where each has an impressive background in the field of art. After crowning the Osbon group as champions last season, it was the turn of Maharaja Lawak Mega 2012 to crown another champion from the 11 groups of comedians who will compete including a 'Hot Seat' participant who won the MLM Hot Seat 2012. They will be judged by 4 permanent judges who all consist of from celebrities who are not comedians or comedy actors to evaluate the participants' performances based on the criteria that have been set. Broadcast live from MBSA Auditorium Hall, Shah Alam, Selangor starting on 16 November 2012 on Astro Warna channel (channel 132) and Astro Mustika HD (channel 134).

Theme was "Parody". No elimination.
4. Week 4
Themes were "Wooing" or "Gaining Favour". DaDiDu, Pimai, and Balas were eliminated.
5. Week 5
Theme was "Musical Comedy". No elimination.
6. Week 6
Theme was "TV Show". Bandung Joker (BJ) was eliminated.
7. Week 7
Themes were "Accent" and "Back to School". Sabon was eliminated.
8. Week 8
Held at the Indoor Stadium, Terengganu State Sports Complex. Themes were "Folk Stories" and "Radio". R2 was eliminated.
9. Week 9
Held at Indra Mulia Indoor Stadium, Ipoh, Perak. Themes were "Proverbs" and "Silent Comedy". No elimination.
10. Final Week
Held at the MBJB Indoor Stadium, Johor Bharu. Themes were free and "Musical Comedy". Jozan was crowned champion, Jambu in second place, and Shiro in third place.
