Forty home cooks from across the country compete for a spot in the Top 14.
2. A Cut Above
Eighteen home cooks get a second chance, competing in two culinary challenges.
3. At Home and Abroad
The cooks face their first Mystery Box Challenge and the winner selects one of three international cuisines and some cooks get lost in translation.
4. Trial by Fire
In the first team challenge, the remaining cooks honour firefighting heroes in a rib cook-off.
5. Off the Hook
A Mystery Box Challenge requires the cooks to work together and the winners give the assignments in the pantry challenge.
6. Feast Your Eyes
The teams use a fashion collection as inspiration for a fancy lunch; a surf and turf test sends one cook home.
7. From the Heart
A Mystery Box Challenge has the cooks baking from the heart.
8. Oktoberfest Feast
The remaining cooks compete in teams for a gourmet sausage challenge in celebration of Oktoberfest.
9. Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes
The remaining eight cooks take on intimidating nursery rhyme-inspired ingredients.
10. Out of This World
Astronaut Chris Hatfield inspires the cooks for a Mystery Box Challenge.
11. Demon at the Pass
The cooks compete in a team challenge at Alvin's Chinatown restaurant. An elimination challenge pits the losing team against each other in a tough baking task.
12. Cooking with Cocktails
Following a Mystery Box Challenge inspired by judge Michael Bonacini's techniques, the cooks create cocktail-inspired sweet and savoury dishes.
13. Meals and Wheels
The top four cooks reunite with their families and then shop for a meal.
14. Only the Best
The three remaining cooks battle for a spot in the finale by preparing a meal for some of Canada's most influential chefs using Canadian ingredients.
15. Finale
The two finalists compete in a three-course challenge to determine the winner of the competition.
