Season 1
Overview
Fulfilling a promise to his deceased father, one-time outlaw Jesse Custer returns home to West Texas to take over his dad's church. Jesse's mission, however, becomes twisted when his body is overcome by a cryptic force that unleashes within him a highly unconventional power. Together with hell-raising ex-girlfriend Tulip and Irish vagabond Cassidy, the preacher-in-training embarks on a journey to find God in a world inhabited by holy, hellish, and everything-in-between characters.

1. Pilot
Jesse struggles to escape a past that is slowly catching up to him. A mysterious entity comes to earth, leaving a wave of destruction in its wake.
2. See
Jesse tries to be a "good preacher," unaware that a mysterious duo is after him. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Cowboy is introduced.
3. The Possibilities
Jesse explores his newfound power with Cassidy's help. Meanwhile, armed with new information, Tulip tries to convince Jesse to set out for revenge.
4. Monster Swamp
Jesse makes Quincannon a bet he can't refuse; and Cassidy works to fend off the angels. Meanwhile, Tulip tries to bring justice to Annville.
5. South Will Rise Again
After his stunt with Quincannon, Jesse is Annville's newest rock star; and Tulip and Cassidy connect. Meanwhile, the Cowboy makes a tragic decision.
6. Sundowner
Jesse finally comes face to face with Deblanc and Fiore and learns about the mysterious entity that has taken over his body.
7. He Gone
Jesse's actions alienate and endanger those closest to him as we glimpse into his past and finally learn the root of all of his guilt.
8. El Valero
Jesse protects his church in a vicious gun battle against Quincannon and the Meat Men; Tulip hopes to save a friend.
9. Finish the Song
Jesse is on the run while those around him face life-altering decisions. The Cowboy returns to Ratwater to exact his revenge.
10. Call and Response
It is the day the entire town has been waiting for, as Jesse tries to follow through on his promise to get answers from Heaven.
