1. Las Vegas: Out of This World
Three top bakeries in Las Vegas are visited in the Season 2 premiere. Featured cakes include a re-creation of the Las Vegas Strip and a 500-lb. confection inspired by Buzz Aldrin's historic moon landing.
2. Southern California: Over the Top
A fall-theme wedding cake is created at Nadia Cakes in Palmdale, Cal.; a skyscraper cake is built for a charity event by Los Angeles-based bakery Cake Goodness; and an elaborate groom's cake is made at Sweet Cheeks in San Diego.
3. Las Vegas: Above and Beyond
One-hundred mini-wedding cakes are created in the bakery at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Also: Caked Las Vegas works on a confection celebrating a local firefighter who's headed to Iraq; and Las Vegas Custom Cakes makes an elaborate teen-theme cake for a quinceanera celebration.
4. Southern California: Back to Nature
A wine-and-cheese-theme engagement cake is created by Sweet Gems bakery in Huntington Beach, Cal. Also featured: a wedding cake covered in dinosaurs and TV trivia.
5. San Francisco: On Top of the World
Top San Francisco bakeries are featured. Included: a wedding cake inspired by 18th-century France is created by Fleur de Lisa; Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is re-created in cake at the Jasmine Rae Bakery; and Enticing Creations makes tea-party-theme cake for a 3-year-old's birthday party.
6. Carolinas: Southern Stars
A cake replica of a deer head is created at Swank Cake Design in Raleigh. Also spotlighted: Tiffany's Bakery in Columbia, S.C.; and Sheri's Edible Designs on Hilton Head Island, S.C.
7. Boston: Up, Up and Away
A "Phantom of the Opera" cake is created at Elegant Edibles bakery in Westford, Mass. Also spotlighted: Delicious Desserts Bakery in Burlington, Mass.; and Amanda Oakleaf Cakes in Winthrop, Mass.
8. Las Vegas: Glitz and Glamor
A showgirl-theme cake is created for a Las Vegas legend. Also: an imaginative wedding cake.
9. Chicago: Midwest Masters
Chicago's top bakeries create elaborate confections, including a crib-shaped cake for an expectant mother and a wedding cake shaped like the couple's home.
10. Southern California: Making Waves
Pastry chefs cover a wedding cake with tiki statues at No More Boring Cakes in San Marcos, Cal. Also: a dragon-shaped birthday cake is made at A Sweet Design Cake Studio in Granada Hills, Cal.; and a surf-scene engagement cake is created at Torrance Bakery in Torrance, Cal.
