Overview
The sixth season of the Syfy reality television series Face Off premiered on January 14, 2014. The season features 15 prosthetic-makeup artists competing against each other to create makeup effects. In this season, the judges have the power to save one contestant who would normally be eliminated.

1. Sexy Beasts
An extreme new season of Face Off starts with a bang as 15 new artists work in teams of two to reinvent one of the most classic fairy tale characters of all time - Beast from Beauty and the Beast.
2. Cosmic Conspiracy
The 14 remaining artists create out-of-this-world alien creatures suffering from an array of interplanetary ailments.
3. Dragon's Breath
For their first individual Spotlight Challenge, the 13 remaining artists face the monumental task of creating original dragon makeups.
4. Guitar Gods
The artists get ready to roll 'n rock as they team together to build an original rock star character who has truly become one with an electric guitar.
5. In the Shadows
The remaining artists take a walk on the dark side as they're tasked with creating supernatural entities based on mysterious silhouettes.
6. Cryptic Creatures
The artists arrive at a beautiful yet mysterious swamp and learn that they'll be making some famously fabled creatures unknown to science - Cryptids.
7. Open Sesame
The artists arrive at the mysterious Magic Castle in Hollywood where they learn they'll create unique wizards characters.
8. Ego Trip Abroad
The artists embark on a trip of a lifetime to Tokyo where they'll gather inspiration for two extreme challenges inspired by the ancient culture of Japan.
9. Mad Science
Things take a dark turn as the artists play the part of mad scientist and create human guinea pig makeups inspired by bizarre medical devices.
10. What a Dahl
The artists delve into the whimsical world of children's author Roald Dahl and must create never before seen characters. Screenwriter, author, and Roald Dahl's daughter Lucy Dahl guest judges.
11. Freaks of Nature
The six remaining artists head to the prestigious Gnomon School of Visual Effects and learn that they will be working with visual effects artists to create original mutants.
12. Industrial Revolution
The artists head to Union Station and discover that they'll be heading into the future to create original robots tailored to a specific profession.
13. Bloodsuckers
Pressure mounts as the four remaining artists create legendary vampires from around the world in order to earn a spot in the finale.
14. Cry Wolf
In the dramatic conclusion to Face Off's first ever two-part challenge, the four remaining artists compete for their spot in the finale by creating werewolf rivals for the legendary vampires they created in the prior episode.
15. Heavenly Bodies
After a season-long battle, the final three artists must create two rival aliens that can survive a rigorous dance performance.
