1. Ed
Ed was adopted, but always believed he had a connection to the Native American culture. He goes in search for a possible Native American heritage and to understand some of his other cultural roots.

2. Matthew
Matthew seeks closure after his brother's death by walking in the shoes of his ancestors who fought in wars and grieved the loss of loved ones.

3. Where Are They Now?
Emily, Tara, Rachel, and Sean share how the Generations Project has changed their lives after a year has passed.

4. Graham
Olympic snowboarder Graham Watanabe wants to learn what it takes to make sacrifices and learns about his Asian ancestry.

5. Rachel
Rachel has always sought validation from outside sources ever since her dad died. She looks to her ancestry to find the strength to be true to who she is and learns that her great-grandma sang in the first women’s quartet in Las Vegas.

6. Roi
Roi hopes that by exploring his family history, he will be able to deal with racial persecution. He visits Surrey County Historical Society and helps heal the lives hurt by the 2011 Joplin Tornado.

7. Raquel
Raquel needs her ancestors’ advice on how to choose between a family and career. She visits Madrid, Spain and learns about her biological ancestors who lived during the Spanish Civil War.

8. Amber
Amber helps her daughter, Deseree, discover her African American heritage and self-acceptance. They visit Washington D.C. and Orange, Virginia.

9. Nancy
Nancy is a full-time caregiver for her husband and wants to be self-empowered and follow her own dreams. She learns about her grandparents and visits New York.

10. David
David says his family has this innate desire to succeed at all costs and wants to learn if his immigrant grandfather really did leave a child behind in Jamaica and lied about his race to succeed.

11. Jill
Jill wants to learn to let go of the resentment she had for her negligent father by learning about his life and why he might have made the choice he did.

12. Eli
Eli is an Iraq veteran who founded Turtle Women Rising. She wants to find peace and learn about her Yaqui history.

13. Natalie
After the tragedy of losing her youngest son, Natalie wants to learn about her heritage and find strength to be the mother her other three children need.
