Arthit, a beloved Thai superstar known as the “Prince of Smiles,” arrives in Japan on a promotional tour for his latest film. Overwhelmed by work, he secretly slips out of his hotel to enjoy a rare moment of freedom. Relishing the joy of moving about unnoticed, he stumbles upon “Tokiwa,” a quiet traditional sweets shop tucked away in an alley. There, he meets Sakurako Ishida, who gave up her dream of studying abroad to help run her father's shop. This fated encounter sets their once-paused lives in motion once again.

While enjoying a brief moment of freedom, Arthit encounters a lost child in a park. As he helps search for the parents, he’s mistaken for a kidnapper, causing a scene. Struggling with the language barrier, he’s saved by Sakurako, who happens to pass by. As they rejoice in their unexpected reunion, Minami arrives with news of a massive dango order. With the shop’s owner (Sakurako’s father) hospitalized and the order too large to fulfill in a day, Arthit and Sakurako decide to help make the dumplings together.

After making dango together, Arthit and Sakurako begin to warm up to each other. When Sakurako and her friend visit a TV station to deliver the order, they realize it’s the set of the variety show Arthit was supposed to appear on. Arthit, noticing this, hides himself, but someone at the studio claims to have seen him. Meanwhile, Sakurako’s childhood friend and first love, Hayato, shows up at Tokiwa...

Sakurako’s father’s doctor, Hayato, suddenly shows up at Tokiwa to see her. Realizing they were each other’s first love, Sakurako is both happy and shy about their reunion after 20 years. Arthit watches the two with a complicated expression. The next day, thanks to Arthit, Tokiwa is booming with customers. After closing, Arthit heads out into the city but unexpectedly runs into Richard and Kaede, who have been searching for him—prompting him to flee on impulse.

When Hayato invites Sakurako on a date, a twist of fate leads them to visit an amusement park with Arthit and Minami. As Sakurako and Hayato grow closer, reconnecting after 20 years apart, Arthit struggles with his emotions while watching them. Meanwhile, Richard and Kaede track down Arthit’s whereabouts and head to Tokiwa in search of him.

After reading a letter from his manager, who tracked down his whereabouts, Arthit is shaken by the trouble he’s caused. As if resolved, he asks Sakurako to show him around Tokyo. The next day, they explore the city by bike, enjoying the sights and finding comfort in each other’s company. But when Arthit unexpectedly runs into Richard in the streets, thoughts of work come rushing back. His brief moment of freedom comes to an end—as a life-changing decision looms ahead.

Holding onto the memories of his time with Sakurako, Atit returns to reality and successfully attends the stage greeting for his lead film. After hearing from Richard about his future work, Atit decides with resolve that he will “no longer run away.” Meanwhile, inspired by her encounter with Atit, Sakurako makes up her mind to pursue her dreams once again and begins studying English. As she spends light-hearted moments with Hayato, the two gradually grow closer.

Sakurako starts dating Hayato, but when her father Toshio pressures her to get married, they end up in an argument. Meanwhile, Athit continues expanding his career in Japan, working not only on movie events but also commercials. Though he throws himself into work, his smile sometimes fades in unguarded moments. Busy with work, love, and studying English, Sakurako happens to see Athit on TV and finally discovers his true identity…
