Women in Beirut

In August 2020, an explosion destroyed the port of Beirut. More than 200 people lost their lives, and thousands of small and medium women-owned businesses were destroyed. The BBC's Kim Chakanetsa meets two entrepreneurs who are working to rebuild their city and keep the economy going.

Kim Chakanetsa talks to two Beirut-based athletes who help promote women's participation in sports. In 2012, Ray Bassil became the first Arab woman to compete in trap shooting at the Olympics. Since then, she has taken part in two more Olympic Games and won three World Championships.
