In the return episode of THE ZOO, the birth of two snow leopards is fraught with health fears; a silverback gorilla books in for a dental appointment; an orphaned baby wombat seeks a surrogate mum; and a red-bellied black snake must learn not to bite the hand that wants to help him.

On 'The Zoo', two giraffe go to sea, a Sea-lion goes into labour with her first pup, a lion is diagnosed with a deadly cancer and a tiny orphaned Feathertail Glider is brought to hospital to see of it can survive.

A young male Brush Tailed Rock Wallaby at Healesville Zoo may be the future of his species. They're under threat in the wild so he's released from Healesville Sanctuary to help out. When he successfully breeds, the zoo must find surrogate mothers to help out. A tiny 14 day old joey is carefully swapped from one pouch to another in an amazing, delicate procedure. Vets only have one chance.

The meerkats at Taronga Zoo are expecting big changes. The tiny babies could bring the group closer together or tear them apart. The four female elephants at Taronga Zoo have had enough of Gung, the young bull. In the wild, he'd be driven off into the distance, so in the zoo, he needs to move out on his own. But moving a three tonne elephant bull is a huge task.

When a newborn Francois Langur is found on the ground at Taronga Zoo, keepers must step in. Mum and Dad have rejected her, so now keepers need to work around the clock to help her survive.
