He was called a facist, a warmonger, and a stubborn hawk. But it was he, who after three decades in the opposition, succeeded in signing a peace contract with Egypt.

Begin was set to make a revolution, to destroy the hegemony, to benefit the people, all the people. The Deprived Alliance that he created, started a conflict between the polarized parts of the Israeli society.

Menachem Begin was dreaming of making peace, and did it. He insisted on the 'wholeness of the homeland', and dragged Israel into a bloody war in Lebanon, a war that made him resign from office and declare 'I cannot go longer'
