When Sam Sweetmilk - adventurer, sociopath, captain of the starship Goldfish - is sent on an important, entirely-made-up mission to retrieve a fictional jewel from a distant asteroid, he bravely takes the task in true Sweetmilk style - by risking the life of his robot first mate, and only friend, Ghostworth.
