Husband-and-wife vets Dr. Will and Dr. Fran bring small town charm to metro Atlanta at each of their three animal hospitals. Dr. Will performs a procedure on a rescued Chihuahua, while Dr. Fran fights to save a kitten from injuries and hypothermia. Dr. Fran faces a potentially devastating diagnosis for a veteran's service dog, and colleague Dr. Stacy pulls more out of a terrier's ear than she expected!

Dr. Will discovers something shocking in a dog's stomach, while Dr. Fran comes to the aid of a blind retriever who was viciously attacked during her morning walk. The duo then hit the streets to rescue some feral felines before Dr. Will welcomes some adorable newborns into the world.

It's all in a day's work for Dr. Will and Dr. Fran as they mend bones, diagnose lumps and tend to other injured animals - until they are surprised with an emergency repair at the sports bar they own. At the end of the hectic week, the vets reminisce with loved ones over a large helping of home-style BBQ.
