Peter Wright and veterinary partner Julian Norton help participants get their livestock into peak condition as clients prepare for the Great Yorkshire Show. Alan and Anne Turnbull seek help after one of their prize-winning show heifers has developed large unsightly warts. Meanwhile, farmer Martin Jackson is doing all he can to bag a prize, preferably the coveted red rosette for first place.

The staff of Skeldale Veterinary Centre have to deal with a lamb born with five fully formed legs, and a peacock which is on the loose at a housing estate. Plus, the owner of a Yorkshire terrier suspects her dog may be pregnant - but the truth is war worse as a life-threatening condition is diagnosed.

Julian and Peter rush to help a ewe that is struggling to give birth and, while there, realise there is another expectant sheep that also needs urgent help. At the practice, Peter has a visit from old pal Benji the border terrier, who despite being as lively as ever has been vomiting, while a newborn calf has a life-threatening hernia.
